Sugarcane Bowls: Practical and Decorative

Our sugarcane bowls are water-resistant, greaseproof, and yet naturally uncoated. This is made possible by the raw material, called bagasse. Normally, sugarcane is pressed during conventional sugar production, and the residues are used as fertilizer or burned. For these bowls, the remaining sugarcane is ground into a cellulose pulp. Under high pressure and heat, it is then molded into the desired shape. It's no surprise that these sugarcane bowls are compostable in compliance with DIN 13432.
